29 Years of Experience and a Passion for People
Some people know steel. Others know people. Raul Martinez has spent nearly three decades doing both.
Raul joined Steel Supply in March, making him one of the newest members of our team. Although he's new to Steel Supply, he brings 29 years of experience in the steel industry.
Raul is no stranger to our company. He's known our Vice President for nearly 30 years, and after many years of trying to recruit him, we finally convinced him to join our team.
What He Enjoys Most
When asked what he enjoys most about working at Steel Supply, Raul's answer was simple: "The people."
A self-described "people person," he thrives on the daily interaction with coworkers and customers. He takes great satisfaction in helping customers solve problems and making sure they receive exactly what they need.
Relationships That Last
A large part of Raul's day is spent visiting customers and maintaining long-standing relationships.
Over the years, many of those business relationships have turned into genuine friendships. It's common for Raul to grab breakfast or lunch with customers, and he's even attended weddings, family celebrations, and other special events with many of them.
For him, great customer service is about more than selling steel. It's about earning trust and staying connected.
Life Outside of Work
When he's away from work, Raul enjoys traveling with his 13-year-old son, who competes in Select Football League (soccer) tournaments across the country. Supporting his son's passion for the game has created many memorable experiences for their family.
