We know that our greatest strength isn’t just the steel, products, and services we provide. It’s the people behind them.

Over the years, many of our employees have grown right alongside the company, moving between departments, developing new skills, and taking on greater responsibilities. We’re proud to promote from within and give hardworking people the opportunity to build a career here.

From First Job to Long-Term Career

There isn’t one path to success. Employees have grown from the warehouse into sales, from dispatch into leadership, and from entry-level positions into specialized and management roles. Here are just a few examples of where hard work and opportunity can lead:

Freddie	Started in 2008 as a contract drive and has advanced to be our Lead Driver.
Andrea	Started in 2024 in our finance department, quickly moved to sales assistant and more recently to Counter Sales in 2026
Juan Pablo	Started in 2018 as counter sales, moved to phones sales, and is now in Outside Sales
Josh	Started 2005 as sales assistant, then sales, outside sales, assistant sales manager, and now in purchasing as a Procurement Analyst.
Steven	started in 2010 as cashier/MTR clerk, Cashier, Counter Sales, Phone Sales, Outside Sales, finally in 2026 as Assistant Sales Manager.
Anne	Started as a Digital Marketing Specialist, quickly moved in a role that was more ERP focused and is in 2026 ERP/IT manager.
Michael	Started in 2008 in receiving, now Warehouse Supervisor
KeOndra	Started in the warehouse in 2019 and is now a member of Sales Staff specializing in Ecommerce.
Paul	Since 2012, started dispatch and is now Traffic Supervisor.
Roger	Started in 2013 in the fittings warehouse, moved to driving an F550 Fittings Delivery Truck, then moved to Counter Sales and is now in Phone Sales.
Kristen	Started in 2005 answering phones, joined finance team, moved to finance administrator and is now the Finance Department Manager
Erik	Started in warehouse in 2012, became lead, moved to purchasing in 2025 includes managing transfers between locations, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled, and, in his words, “being a bit of a Winston Wolf-like cleaner”
Jose	Started in 2008 as a saw operator and is now Senior Warehouse Leadman.
Jimmy	Started in the warehouse and in 2026 is now an IT Support Specialist.
David	Started in fittings, then dispatch, then counter sales, fab shop, and now Senior Phone Sales.
Eric	Started in 2014 in the warehouse, moved to dispatch, then counter sales, and finally inside phone sales in 2026, moved to counter sales and now Phone Sales.
Dwayne	Started as saw operator in 2018 and now works in South Dispatch.
Daniel	Started in 2008 as a saw operator, then was a plasma operator, and is now a plasma programmer.

Building Opportunity From Within

These career paths are a great reminder of where hard work, learning, and a willingness to try something new can lead. A first position can be just the beginning of a much longer career.

And this list only scratches the surface. Many more employees have earned promotions, changed departments, and stepped into new responsibilities over the years.
