Starting the Journey at Steel Supply

Steven joined Steel Supply in 2011 while searching for a job in banking. His first opportunity came as a cashier/MTR clerk, and what started as a stepping stone quickly turned into something more. Not long after beginning his role, Steven realized Steel Supply was a place where he could build a long-term career and continue growing professionally.

A Career Built Through Growth

Over the past 15 years, Steven has steadily advanced through multiple roles within the company. His path reflects both hard work and a willingness to take on new challenges. Throughout his career, Steven has served in several positions, including:

• Cashier
• Counter Sales
• Phone Sales
• Outside Sales

Today, he serves as our Assistant Sales Manager, supporting the sales team while continuing to build strong relationships with customers.

The People and Opportunities That Make It Worthwhile

When asked what he enjoys most about working at Steel Supply, Steven immediately points to the people he works with every day and the opportunities for growth within the company. He believes that success here ultimately comes down to the effort you put in.

“You get what you put into it.”

For Steven, one of the most rewarding moments in the job is successfully closing a difficult sale—especially after navigating negotiations, challenges, and creative problem-solving with a customer.

A Day in the Life

Steven’s typical day begins with something simple but meaningful: intentionally greeting his coworkers.

In his current role, much of his work centers around problem-solving. Many of the issues he tackles don’t have a clear or established solution, which means every day can look different.

Each phone call can bring a new challenge, and Steven enjoys finding creative ways to make things work for both customers and the Steel Supply team.

Life Outside of Work

When he’s not at Steel Supply, Steven enjoys spending his time on the golf course. He’s also passionate about cooking and playing board games.

And when it comes to entertainment, Steven has a clear preference: movies over television.
